The Internet (Lecture)

In our IL (Independent Learning) lesson today we were talking about the internet. We had a lecture about it and it was led by Dr. Parker. Here are some notes I took:

The Internet

What are the functions?

The three Concepts:

- Packet switching
- Network of networks
- TCP/IP

Process:

1. A networks connects lots of computers.
2. Internet  connects all of those computers together.
3. If you want to send something, the network finds the computer and finds the IP address. The things  being sent will be put in little packets and are sent out one at a time.
4. The packets contains any route to arrive to their destination but will choose the fasts one.
5. Once arrived, it will be put in order.

The Simpsons

We are now learning a new unit on comics for our media/ICT lesson. We were asked to find a comic and post it onto our blogs. I chose The Simpsons because I enjoy reading it, you can read it anytime and it is funny! They also make movies, books, comics and videos.


The Simpsons is a popular comic sold around the world. It is suitable for all ages. They are funny, colourfull and interesting to read! The Simpsons was created by Matt Greoning. The Simpsons family consists of  Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie. They have great adventures together and funny experiences!
